All American Homes can often deliver a home just four weeks after receiving an order.two to three weeks later you can be moving in to your new home. The construction process is so much faster than on site construction because your site work is being completed while your home is simultaneously built in one of our construction facilities. This efficiency is simply not possible with a site built home. Naturally, larger and more complicated homes require more time. However, an All American home can always be built faster than a site-built home.Many All American homes include porches and garages as part of the modules delivered from our construction facilities. If this is not the case with the home you've selected, your independent builder will handle construction of the porch, garage, deck or other features required to complete your new home.( america's place)

Custom House Plans.Like the name, custom house plans are customizable. They are custom drawn to meet your specific needs. The plans are typically drawn by a licensed building designer or a licensed architect in a geographic location close to where the owners live or close to where the home will be built. Normally, the process is complicated and time-consuming because the owner's specific requests need to be integrated into the overall design of the home. Often times, special request to the house plan present significant challenges to the designer of the home. Special requests result in additional time needed to resolve the design changes.

Most home buyers who want their own home individually built and designed select a builder who specializes in custom or semi-custom homes. Centex, another major builder, said it resorted to price cuts because incentives weren?t working and many borrowers had trouble getting the jumbo mortgages they needed for higher-priced homes.?We really adjusted prices down where they need to get to,? Centex Chief Financial Officer Catherine R. Smith recently told Wall Street analysts in a conference call.In addition to slashing prices, some builders are scaling down the size of their homes to make them more affordable. In Victorville, for example, new houses built by KB Home are selling for about 33% less than they did two years ago because of the combination of price cuts and size reductions, Chief Executive Jeffrey Mezger said at a conference last week.

DiPrima, however, also credits the role of lower price points.In one Antelope Valley development, KB Home had been offering 3,200-square-foot houses for more than $400,000. KB Home of Los Angeles posted a loss of $773 million in its most recent quarter, and its shares have plunged 50% in the last year. Lennar Corp., the biggest home builder in California, reported a $1.3-billion quarterly loss Jan. 24. Its stock price has fallen 63% from its level of a year ago.

2. Site the house properly.You can do plenty of things to build efficiency and low maintenance into a house ? but the way it sits on your lot can play a big role. Lots of south-facing windows can help heat the home in the winter (but be sure you can cover them up in the summer). But those windows won?t help much if that south side is covered with trees that block the light. If you?ve chosen a lot with a lake, is the house designed to truly give you the best views from the right rooms? Is the lot designed properly, with the ground sloping away from the house? If not, expect water damage. Does water slope away and then puddle in particular areas of your yard? Are gutters designed well enough to get water away from the foundation? (Use a hose to check, if necessary.) Even drainage means fewer problems.
